Jock n' Roll

Well folks, it looks like the so called powers in Creative Scotland, Glasgow Life and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Organisers have decided not to give us funding for Jock’N’Roll.

We suppose we always knew that this kind of theatre is not what the “luvvies” want and I am sure all the money will go to all the ones that always get it. Snobbery really springs to mind!

It will be the National Theatre of Scotland, The Royal Concert Hall, ATG, The Citizens, The Hydro and all the other ones that cannot survive without the assistance from the public purse.

But who cares? We will do it the show next year anyway outside the games period and hopefully you will all enjoy it. Do we need their money? Not really! Although, it would have been nice to get a hand for once!

Thanks for supporting to everybody who supports us throughout the year and we hope to see you at Jock’n’Roll next year!

  4. Despite Ian being a control freak with attitude I can’t help but agree that he is doing a great thing for Glasgow audiences and yes the Pavilion does deserve some recognition. Snobbery is the word.

  5. I am totally disappointed in the Pavillion for never getting funded but a you say who needs handouts when you have such good value for money shows that bring people back and back again – keep up the good work
