A welcome from the PAVILION to tribute to Jack Milroy MBE
The following pages are dedicated
to the memory of Jack Milroy MBE, who sadly passed away earlier this
year (2001). Jack's last appearance on stage was at The Pavilion
Theatre in October 2000, when he starred in Not Another Very Special
Hogmany , a performance for which he received a standing ovation
on every night of the production.
Jack was a true professional, donning his Francie (of Francie & Josie fame) wig and too - tight/short red suit and taking to the stage with a fantastic surge of energy which carried across to every member of every cast and audience he worked with. A special friend of the theatre he would come to many of the shows and often popped in when there was no show just to soak up the atmosphere of the theatre. He knew and was fondly regarded by me and all my staff alike and was always welcome. The Pavilion has set up this page in very special memory of Jack - our old China and we would like to think that he is still watching down on us as we carry the memory of him in the theatre's heart.
