From The Daily Record, 11th January, 2001

'Cancer-stricken comic Jimmy Logan has made a video to help sufferers come to terms with the disease.

In the tape, entitled You Are Not Alone, theatre great Jimmy, 73, says: "You have just been told you have cancer and I know how you feel because I was told this too."

The screen and stage legend, who is undergoing chemotherapy for inoperable cancer in his chest and liver, wants to help people who are told they have the illness.'

An excellant show which showed warmth and love for a very talented man by all the artistes and audience. Can't wait for the video.  Well done to all the stars.

comments about the video tape...

I'm the webmaster of
"A Celebration of Sir Harry Lauder" and over the past two years developed a friendship with Jimmy Logan so naturally I wanted a copy of the video tape.

I'm a Texan (which is why I had to wait for the tape) and grew up with county/western music but let me tell you, when Sydney Devine opened his mouth and started singing, it knocked me off my chair. His voice has that indefinable quality that is "pure" county/western.Bravo!

I'm already
checking the net for CDs.
