Having
just been to see Sydney at the Pavillion and I can hardly wait to see
him again in November 2001. Again thanks for an most enjoyable night.
I
have listened to Sydney's music ever since I was a bairn. So when my
sister and I found that he was doing a farewell concert ,we just had
to go! we contacted our auntie Jean in Hamilton and she managed to get
us all some tickets. We flew up to Glasgow ,for the weekend, to be
thoroughly entertained by Sydney and his supporting acts.

Obviously I haven't seen his show and am so disappointed I won't get
over to see it as I believe its his farewell?
I just want to pass on my thanks to Sydney Divine for his music
through the years - I have always enjoyed his songs and play them
constantly on my PC here in the United Nations in Geneva.
My sister Nan Smith will be at the show, sitting in the circle, on
Thursday 16 November with her friends from the Thornliebank Health
Club (all pensioners) so if possible and Sydney does do requests
perhaps he could dedicate a song to them, (one of my favourites is
"Four Walls") especially to my sister who looks after our
Dad (recovering from a stroke) by going every day to see to his meals
and cleaning for him.
If he doesn't do dedications it doesn't matter as I just want to
wish him all the best for the future and I am really sorry he is going
to retire and even sorrier I can't get over for his last shows.
With many thanks from a longstanding fan. Sarah MacMillan.

I
think he is the best thing since sliced bread i just think the guy is
a god (THE GOD of country anyway!) better than some of the rubbish in
the charts of today even better than John Denver or Slim Whitman or
even Kenny Rogers. I have never had the privilege of seeing Sidney
live but have all his videos to date.
