| THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN |
 |
| First Base Theatre presented
a new production of their 1993 Award Winning music theatre show THREE STEPS TO
HEAVEN. |
|
Starring Alan McHugh (High
Road's PC Piacentini) as Buddy Holly this production set audiences around
Scotland rocking in their seats again.
Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and Roger Peterson arrived in a celestial Milk
Bar, seconds after the plane crash that killed them. Met by the bar keeper, Stella, they
look back over their lives and loves, successes and failures and tried to work how to take
the next step to wherever they are going. |
|
| They had one last jamming session to pass the
time. Songs they wrote and some they didn't including Chantilly Lace, Peggy
Sue, That'll be the day, La Bamba and nearly 20
more which made Three Steps to Heaven a rocking and rolling good night out. How many songs
can you play in eternity? Does it matter if anyone hears them? And just who was Roger
Peterson? |

| Show
dates were Monday 5th - Saturday 10th October 1998 |
