Pavilion Presented....
PLEASE STAY

Please Stay! At the PAVILION!

This show had you dancin' in the aisles!

Set in the 60’s dance halls, Please Stay was a musical comedy about the life and times of growing up in the swinging sixties.

Great music, great comedy and most of all those great dance hall nights. Starred Chris McClure and a sensational cast of young and exciting actors.

Please Stay transported you back in time to the great sixties dance halls like the Plaza, Majestic and most of all the famous Glasgow Locarno.

Featured all the hits.... Get Ready!, Down at the Club, My Girl, Sweet Soul Music, Saturday Night at the Movies and of course the song that ended most dance nights...

"What a great show, I was glad they brought it back. Four night out of ten was not enough for me. If I could I would have been there ever night,

All the cast were fantastic, you could not as for a better bunch. As usual 'Chris' and the band were great.

Also well done to Ian Gordon for writing such a great story."

"Hi there! I'm just writing in to say how much I am looking forward to coming to see Please Stay on July 31st 7:30pm. The Pavilion always direct fantastic shows which I really look forward to seeing!

I'm coming especially to see Gary Hollywood because I think he is the best actor ever and with all the rest of the Please Stay cast Gary and them will give the audience a night to remember!

Could I also ask the webmaster if Gary actually reads messages from his fans because I would be really happy knowing that he did!

Well once again I'm really looking forward to seeing Please Stay, Thank You!!! PS-Gary I LOVE you!!!!"

Webmaster's Note:
I'm sure Garry read's em all!

"When my Mum came home with two tickets for Please Stay, as a 19 year old girl I thought I would have no interest in it even though I love the theatre and am involved in theatrical productions myself.

However last night we went along to see it and it was absolutely brilliant!!! I would definitely go again and plan to do so as soon as possible before the show ends its run!!! The cast were all fantastic, I've not laughed so much in a while. The signing was great and the choice of songs were amazing too!!

All in all an absolutely fantastic show!!! I had a ball!!! I too agree that Gary Hollywood was fabulous!! It was different seeing him in that role after seeing him as Dominic in High Road for so long but I have to say he was superb in the comedy/musical role!!!!

I have not been with my theatrical company for a while and would like to get back into that sort of thing. Do you have any tips/advice on how I would get a chance to perform in plays such as Please Stay?!"

Webmaster's Note:
The Pavilion Team read 'em all! Have fun with your plans to get involved with Theatre and good luck!

(Having been back to the July/Aug show)

"Hi! I have to tell you how much I enjoyed Please Stay.

Other than the Pavilion Pantos this was the best show I have ever seen. Gary Hollywood's acting was fantastic and he looked absolutely stunning at the funeral bit with his suit on, I would really love a signed photograph of him cos I have no photos of him (hint hint!).

Please Stay was so funny it had me in stitches! I would have liked to come back but had no time to get another ticket.

Anyone who hasn't seen Please Stay don't know what they're missing.

Still as ever I love Gary Hollywood. As long as he knows that, I'm happy.

I just loved his acting in Please Stay and would say he was one of the funniest male characters. The end bit was amazing and I will be back again if it is ever back at the Pavilion."

Webmaster's Note:
I'm sure the Manager will print out Lesley's message for  Garry and make sure he gets a copy!

"Hi there! We're just writing in to say how much we loved Please Stay.

Our friend Lesley, I'm sure you'll know her cos shes always writing about Gary Hollywood, also came and she loved it as did we.

We'd like to say to Gary that he doesn't have any idea of how much she likes him cos she's always talking about him but she's not as bad as you think so he doesnt have to worry!

All we know is she is mad about him and went to see Christmas pantos about 4 times just because Gary Hollywood was in them.

If she could have she would have went every night! She even persuaded her Drama teacher to take her class to this years panto cos Gary is in it, but she loves the panto's too so its not just for Gary's sake but mainly his so the Pavilion should be thanking him for getting more tickets sold..ha!

Well just had to tell you what a great show Please Stay was and we will be coming to future shows as Please Stay was great!!

And expect a lot of messages from Lesley when this years Panto begins because sure as anything if she can she'll be coming to quite a lot of shows so she'll be writing a lot of messages to you.

Just let Gary know this 'cos he probably thinks she only fancies him but she talks about him all the time and she hasn't even got any pictures of him so please put a nice one of him in the programme for this years panto and she'll be over the moon and it'll shut her up cos we're sick of her going on!

Great show Pavilion you've done a great job! Nicola Park was awesome and Gary's acting was brilliant... (Lesley asked me to say that!).

Keep up the good work!!!"

"We think that Christian is fantastic.

Keep Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, Sidney Devine, as Christian is our ANSWER TO EVERYTHING and all we want to ask is for our COUNTRY BOY to PLEASE STAY and KEEP GOING THE DISTANCE coz we think he's HOT STUFF!

So could he get OUT OF OUR DREAMS and TAKE US WHERE THE MUSIC'S PLAYIN because DOWN AT THE CLUB we know THE SHOW MUST GO ON and he must KEEP ON DANCING so that we don't miss THE HUNGRY YEARS!

OH CAROL, LOVE WON'T WAIT, NEW YORK NEW YORK, BEN, PLAY ME, LOVE ON THE ROCKS, SHE BANGS, THE MIRACLE SONG, THE LAST BLUE SONG, as we will be GOING THE DISTANCE to see another brilliant show at the Pavilion called A Kick up the 80's starring Scotland's number 1 entertainer "our answer to everything" the fabulous CHRISTIAN!"
