Sheila Gott and
her hugely talented group joined forces and
presented a unique tribute show to the wonderful voice of the
late Eva Cassidy. Eva lost her battle with skin cancer in 1996 at
the age of 33.
5% of net profits to from this show were donated to the
Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund (Charity No. 261017).
Sheila Gott is a
renowned singing tutor to the stars. She has been the voice
trainer to Robbie Williams and to the British boy band Take
That.
Eva Cassidy captured the imagination of Sheila Gott.
When Eva died from breast cancer Sheila was inspired to put
together a tribute show. While
putting this tribute show together Sheila discovered she had
similar problems and has been a patient of Macmillan nurses for
treatment of breast cancer.
Sheila has been for an operation and has been able to cure her
illness. With her tribute to Eva Cassidy she will dedicate 5
percent of her earnings to the Macmillan nurses’ cancer relief
fund. She feels that the awareness of breast cancer should be in
her performance and to complement the delights of Eva Cassidy.
