Celts in Seville
Back in 2003 Celtic went to Seville and half of Scotland went with them.
The phrase “HAVE YOU GOT A TICKET” was on everyone’s lips.
11 years on and it’ s time to celebrate once again.
Celts in Seville takes you on an exciting journey with the McMahon family from the beginning of the season as they follow their heroes all the way to the Sensational UEFA Cup Final. It’s a Hilarious Musical Comedy celebrating with Songs, Laughter and even the odd tear!
Written and Directed by Award winning playwright Tony Roper.
A True celebration of Great Times! A Great Team! And most of all Great FANS!
Celts in Seville! A must for all Celtic fans of all ages and is sure to “SELL OUT” so be sure to get the best seats!
“I will never forget the last night of the The Celts in Seville at the Pavilion.
The theatre almost levitated with the reaction of the audience and the Pavilion website was red hot with fans e-mailing to say that they’d had a brilliant three week run. So when Iain Gordon, the manager, asked if I’d be up for doing it again, there was no hesitation on my part.
The Celtic fans were magnificent in defeat and deserved the accolade BEST FANS IN THE WORLD given by UEFA.
The team gave every ounce in a temperature normally only found in a frying pan and were sung off the park by their fans despite the result.
That is what made me determined to pay tribute to both of them in this show.”
Tony Roper – Writer & Director

He is a celtic fan and my family are all rangers season ticket holders and i am not a football fan at all but we both thoroughly enjoyed the show. The cast were all great and the patter and glasgow humour was evident throughout. a good show for all the family with no swearing for laughs . Good atmosphere with all the audience singing their hearts out . A must for any celtic fans. Wel written comedy Tony. thought a lot of grandads mannerisms had a bit of Rab C in them. A good night all round even if your not a football or celtic fan

Went on Saturday night – absolutely fantastic. The Granda was brilliant and I loved all the shots of that season on the big screen!! The music was amazing and so rousing. Made me proud to be a Celtic Fan when I heard the whole theatre join in “let the people sing”
We came over from Dublin for the game on Sunday and went to the Sat. matinee before with friends. We all agreed it is a must for all Celtic fans and got starry eyed once or twice specially at the end. Crack good and laughs a plenty. Highly recommended. Oh and BTW you dont have to be a football fan to enjoy it.

We were at this show last night 30/08/200. This is the best show we have ever been to, cast were hilarious. We laughed from the moment the curtains opened.
This show should be given its own tour round the country and should also be put on dvd.
crackin show, full marks to the cast and Tony Roper. Turned It into a right knees up in the Irish pub behind the pavilion (Molly Malones). Met the cast in there , and according to the previous reviews so did some others (on different days), are the cast all drunkards?
my fiance and i was there on sat23 aug it was the best ever show mon the celtic
I took my 15 year old son Danny along to see The Celts in Seville last night – we both loved it, wonderful humour, a great cast, and a good story, too! Eddie was my favourite character, a lot like my own grandpa and dad in so many ways! The music was always going to be good, and there was a real family atmosphere throughout. If Celtic do well in this year’s Champion’s League, it won’t be long before Tony’s putting pen to paper again! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
The single best show we have seen in a long time. We laughed and cried. Great cast, well written and directed…and a fabulous night out. Michael and Kevin stood out a mile!! They were our favourites. This show should do a tour!!
Fantastic!
Great show, my husband and I went on Saturday, travelled from Carlisle.. the cast were excellent and the storyline brilliant, it was a great afternoon enjoyed by all there… the songs rang out.. poor paper seller had a hard time. we must have more like this
Travelled up from the West Midlands to see the show (Sat. 23rd). Superb acting (esp. Grandad) and the one-liners were delivered in typical ‘Glasgow fashion’ – hilarious! It’s a must see. Went to Molly Malones afterwards and was joined by the cast who were more than happy to sign programmes and chat. A credit to Tony Roper.
Great show, brought back so many great memories.
One tiny point; the word on everyone’s lips were not “have ye goat a ticket” but “How ur ye gettin there”!
fantastic
Brilliant, Me being a Rangers fan, and my Husband a Celtic fan, we both loved it. You know the old saying for better or for worse. Good Auld Glesga Humour, Bring us more, I recommend this to all football fans.

My Daughter got me and the wife tickets for my 53rd birthday and we went after the Falkirk game on Saturday. It was the best show we have seen at the pavillion and it should be taken over to Ireland and North America and let the Celtic supporters see the show.I am sure it would be a sell out.
