Pop and Rock Sensations; Wet Wet Wet, Bay City Rollers, Frankie Miller, Texas, Deacon Blue and The man himself… Alex Harvey.
Bands from the 60’s like Marmalade, Middle of the Road, and from the 70’s –Nazareth and the special two from Autermuchty; The Proclaimers, not forgetting the incredible musical talents of Gerry Rafferty. Scotland is also known for its many talented female performers; Lena Zavaroni, Annie Lennox, Kelly Marie, Glasgow’s own Lulu, Lena Martell, and the lass from Bellshill – World famous recording star Sheena Easton and how can we leave out Susan Boyle!
The list goes on and on and so do the Hits. They have all been brought together in this truly amazing tribute to all the great Scottish artists through the years.
It’s a sing-along show for all ages, but most of all it takes you on an exciting Scottish musical journey featuring;

fantastic show loved Chris Scougal he has a lovely voice and he smiled through the full show Christian was fabulous and so was Dean Park the girls sang great songs and they also seemed to be having a great time the little dancers were having a ball all in all it was a great show I went twice
Fabulous show again yesterday, I was delighted when it was announced that the show will be returning to the Pavilion in September. Christian as always was fantastic, I especially enjoyed him singing the Nazareth songs, “Broken Down Angel” and “Bad Bad Boy”, and also the Marmalade songs “Reflections of My Life” and “Cousin Norman” were fantastic. Dean Park as usual provided great laughs dressed as Susan Boyle and Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. The Swingcats were also fantastic, I especially enjoyed “One Day at a Time” and “To Sir Love with Love” sung by Alyson Orr, and Nikki Auld was amazing performing Lena Zavararoni’s “Mama He’s Making Eyes at Me”, and Laura Ellis was also great singing “Perfect”. Chris Scougal again put on an amazing performance with the Bay City Rollers song “All Of Me Loves All of You”. “Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond” at the finale had the whole audience on their feet and was the perfect ending to a fabulous show.
This show was fantastic. Very happy and memorable and the place was jumping. Glad to hear it is coming back, can’t wait. See you all then.
Hi Ann are you the same Ann that was friends with Irene McEwan from Irvine?
What a fantastic show……was so enjoyable I went twice lol. Everyone was brilliant especially Chris Scougal…..I think Chris Scougal should have his own show at the Pavillion……SingalongaScougal…….so come on Mr Gordon what about it? I have seen Chris quite a few times in Jukebox Memories etc and every time I see him I just think he gets better and better…….so much more confident. I could listen to his voice all night so maybe you could consider it Mr Ian Gordon? What do you think?
You have to be old, Scottish and like middle of the road. Will have a fabulous time.
Why do you have a spare ticket? I cant wait just looked at the play list 🙂 xxx
Went to see the Matinee on the 3rd of May, thoroughly enjoyed the show, although it would have been nice to have Flower of Scotland performed. Hopefully next year
May have 1 spare ticket for Saturday transport available too.
Oooooh Can't wait til Saturday!!!!!
Eeeeeeeek!!!!
Jock and Roll should be available on the NHS! Happy, joyous, tuneful and funny! Here is a company who are comfortable with each other, good singers and clearly delighted to be entertaining a highly appreciative audience. The surprisingly extensive Scottish contribution to British popular music provided the cast with terrific material and all six singers grabbed the opportunity with both hands, competently backed by a live band. Notable performances were the covers of Lulu, Del Amitri and Wet Wet Wet and a special mention for Dean Park for an epic rendition of “Caledonia” to accompany his ever cheery linking of the programme. The Bay City Rollers and Proclaimers medleys really had the audience fully involved! A full house was a deserved reward to the Pavilion for their determined maintenance of a variety theatre in the city. Keep supporting this fine theatre!
Went to see Jock n Roll last Thursday night … have to be honest, was a bit apprehensive when I arrived and realised we were the youngest in the crowd – by a mile … but … what a show, absolutely outstanding. All the cast were fabulous and to see Christian sing “Shine it On” was just amazing – what a guy …
The show is so good I have now booked tickets to go and see it 2moro night again, this time with my Mum and i cannot wait – I know she will also love it. Everyone on stage looked like they were enjoying it as much as the crowd and that certainly showed in all their performances – some amazing vocals and all round entertainment for ALL AGES – a typical brilliant Pavilion production !!!
A MUST SEE – you wont be disappointed …
I would highly recommend anyone to see Jock n Roll. Great music, good laugh and very entertaining this show is not to be missed so book now!. Christian is a legend. The singers were all really good.
Fabulous show, Christian, Chris Scougal, Dean Park & The Swingcats were all brilliant and the dancers too. Christian was amazing, I was delighted to see him sing my favourite song of his Shine It On, it was absolutely magnificent. Christian still looks and sounds great. Chris Scougal was fantastic, he sang Mother of Mine and all his songs beautifully. Alyson Orr was fantastic singing For Your Eyes Only. Looking forward to seeing the show again next week. Fingers crossed for a Jock N Roll 2.
Been to see jock n roll two nights Thurs and Friday, it was fantastic brilliant show, all cast superb and the dancers were truly a joy to watch. Please bring this show back it was one of the best ever.
Jock N Roll on Saturday was absolutely fantastic. All four of us had a wonderful time, and thoroughly enjoyed the show. The highlight for me was when Christian performed his Eurovision entry song “Shine It On”, I was elated with excitement to see him perform it live again with the band, it was phenomenal. The gorgeous Chris Scougal was amazing, every song he sings he makes it his own, I loved him singing “Just A Smile” and “I Wish I was in Glasgow”, he really is a beautiful singer. I can’t praise him enough, I think both he and Christian are wonderful and I love seeing them in shows together. The Bay City Rollers, Wet Wet Wet, Sheena Easton and Proclaimers medleys were fantastic too. All the cast were brilliant. I can’t wait to see the show again next week.
