Cancellation Notification

Unfortunately, with the ongoing global situation, and the increasingly unlikelihood of events being able to go ahead in the short term, we have had no alternative than to cancel the performances of Steeleyed Span: 50th Anniversary Tour, originally scheduled to take place from Friday 2nd October 2020.

If you purchased your tickets by card online or via telephone, then we will process this refund directly onto the card you used for the original purchase. Refunds will take up to 7 working days to appear in your account.

If you paid at the theatre in person via cash or card, our box office staff will contact you to arrange a suitable refund. Unfortunately, as we are working remotely, we cannot process cash refunds and can only offer, for original cash customers, a refund by cheque, bank transfer or direct refund onto a credit or debit card.

Our staff are now working remotely to protect their own health and that of colleagues and customers therefore the theatre is not open to the public, but you can contact them on 0141 332 1846 (selecting option 1, 2 or 3), with opening hours of 10am till 3pm, Monday to Thursday.

We apologise for any upset or disappointment this will cause. We wish you well in these strange times, but we are hopeful that things will get back to normal soon and look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre soon.

1970 would prove to be a vintage year for music and the start of an era that would change the world. For Steeleye Span – formed the year before – it would mark a major milestone. The band released their debut album Hark The Village Wait, a record that would not only launch one of the most enduring stories in the folk world and beyond but also come to influence further generations of artists. Five decades on and the band, led as ever by the iconic vocals of Maddy Prior and with a seven piece line-up featuring some of the most skilled musicians on the UK folk scene, their 50th anniversary tour will be a celebration of the key tracks from that famous album as well as favourites and gems from their long and famous career.
