This will be a charity performance by Sydney Devine on behalf of the Scottish Showbusiness Benevolent Fund.
The Scottish Showbusiness Benevolent Fund exists to help its members from the entertainment profession, their widows/widowers, their children or dependants in times of need.
"Our fund has been in existence since 1895. Since then our day-to-day functions have changed dramatically but, in all that time, our principle has remained the same – to help people who are or have been associated with the showbusiness profession, as well as looking after their families and dependants in needy circumstances.
We also have a special part to play in preserving the heritage of this wonderful business. Over the decades our performers have made their mark, here in Scotland and throughout the entire world of entertainment. For the countless hours of fun and laughter, and all the precious memories, we owe them our thanks and our support."

I was at the evening show and have to agree about the support act. She was really fantastic and looked as if she owned the stage. I would love to see her again, so can you let me know if she’ll be back any time soon. Sharon from Glasgow
I was at the Friday afternoon show!! I am a massive fan of Sydney and really enjoyed the show just like the rest! But have to agree the support Act was outstanding would really like to see her again! Can you let me know when she will be performing again?? Would be really grateful!
Went to see the ‘4 ladies of Country’ on Sunday night. Great show , but why wasn’t the young lady who supported Sydney Devine recently included?She was every bit as polished an entertainer as any of the acts on stage with Billie Jo Spears. Why can’t we appreciate home grown talent and ‘Let Glasgow Flourish’?
I agree with Angela from Glasgow!! The support act was Fabulous!! Wish that she was on longer! Definately would like to see her perform at the Pavillion again! had my feet tapping all through her performance..!
Another fantastic show by Sydney after watching him for over 30 years its fantastic to still see him jumping about the stage like a young thing good on you Syd. I’m proud to say I.m a fan of yours .
I went with my mum and aunt to see Sydney Devine but I must say I was more impressed with the female support act he had. She was fab. Very natural and at ease with the audience. I could have listened to her all night. Good on Sydney for getting new talent out there. This lady really deserves a go at the big time
