T.Rextasy – The Children of the Revolution Tour

On 8 September 1972 a record that would inspire future generations was released by the one of the most flamboyant and charismatic bands of the original glam rock era. Marc Bolan, founder member and leader of his band T.Rex, spearheaded the way to the higher echelons of the top of the charts with one of his most memorable and distinctive songs of that decade – ‘Children of the Revolution‘. 4O years on the song has become iconic and legendary, along with Bolan’s other best selling anthems of that year that included, ‘Metal Guru’, Solid Gold Easy Action’, and ‘Telegram Sam’ (which sold 500,00 copies in the first two days of release!).

T.Rextasy have now been gigging around the world for 20 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex. The band are now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management. The band have been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute‘.

T.Rextasy play all of Bolan’s biggest hits, such as ‘Ride a White Swan’, ‘Jeepster’, ‘Telegram Sam’, ‘New York City’, ‘Debora’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Hot Love’, ‘20th Century Boy’, ‘Telegram Sam’, ‘Metal Guru’, ‘The Groover’, ‘I Love To Boogie’, ‘Get It On’, and of course ‘Children of the Revolution’. The band plays totally live recreating the music, performance and excitement of those heady and outrageous times of glam rock.
