The Christians and Black in Concert
Over the years, Garry Christian has proved his worth as a singer of the highest calibre. Today, after twenty years in The Christians, he still sounds as fresh as he did when they released their first album.
On board with Garry these days are Stewart Boyle and Neil Griffiths who bring with them a vast amount of experience. Neil with his stupendous vocal range, Stewart for his extraordinary guitar playing, along with Bobby Kewley on bass, Mike Triggs on keyboard and Paul Walsham on drums.
Hear some great new sounds from them and take a trip down memory lane with songs like ‘Forgotten Town’, ‘Ideal World’, ‘Harvest for the World’, ‘Hooverville’, ‘Father’, ‘Greenbank Drive’ and many more.
"I’ve always sought to move with the times and introduce variety when putting a tour together, though in the past this hasn’t always been possible, we think this twentieth anniversary tour will be one to remember.’
Appearing with the Christians on this tour is a man described as ‘Europe’s finest singer-songwriter’. Born and raised in Liverpool and naming himself ‘Black’ in 1981, he began a writing, recording and performing career. Black, (aka Colin Vearncombe), has recently released the first Black album in eleven years entitled ‘Between Two Churches’. Catch him with the Christians where songs from the new album will be performed alongside highlights from the back catalogue.
