THE FUREYS and DAVEY ARTHUR – ST PADDYS NIGHT
Following the success of their St Patrick's day concert last year, legends of Irish Music, the Fureys & Davey Arthur bring their show of music, songs and stories to the Pavilion Theatre for their 7th appearance here.
They have been entertaining audiences all over the world for 34 years and their audiences have included former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Irish President Mary McAleese and the late Pope John Paul while Tony Blair has publicly
stated that his favourite peace song of all time is the Fureys "Green Fields of France".
They are responsible for some of the most stirring music ever to capture the public imagination. Their folk / middle of the road based music has received standing ovations in some of the biggest concert halls of the world.
There is nothing we can say about these legends of Irish Music that people don't already know so don't miss this concert and an opportunity when you can hear them sing all their hits including ‘When you were sweet 16', ‘The Green fields of
France', ‘The old man', ‘Red rose café', ‘From Clare to here', ‘Her father didn't like me anyway', ‘Leaving Nancy', ‘Steal away', I will love you' etc. Early booking advised.
The Fureys have a new Facebook page which we hope to keep updated regularly. If you have a Facebook page and are interested in receiving updates, please hit this link and click on ‘like' at the top of the page.
