It was brilliant, the best show weve seen, hope it comes back as would love to see it again .
I was offered a ticket from a friend who couldn’t go so had no expectation. This piece of theatre blew me away. Raw and authentic, poignant, hilarious and heartbreaking. Each character brings their own tragic back story which lets the audience in to see why many of them want to stop history repeating itself but breaking that cycle seems to be an impossible challenge.
Everyone sprung to their feet in standing ovation the second the last word was said. This theatre touches everyone and everyone should make an effort to see it. Very well done to all involved.
What a show!
The actors are incredible, stand out performances from each of them, and the play itself is truly fantastic.
The tragedy of the show is broken up with amazing comedy and banter from the characters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Get along on the tour if you can!
Hard-hitting and hilarious – I loved every second. Brilliant writing, acting and staging – a really talented company. Well done to everyone involved – would happily watch this again and will be recommending future performances to everyone I know.

‘When We Were Young’ is an extraordinary journey that takes you back in time to the heart of 1990s Glasgow. The show masterfully transports you to an era where gang culture was at its peak, and it does so with a captivating blend of humor and poignant storytelling.
The performance brilliantly follows the lives of young teams who once occupied the street corners of Glasgow, and it’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane that’s both hilarious and deeply moving.
The show manages to capture the essence of a bygone era while shedding light on the harsh realities faced by the youth of that time. ‘When We Were Young’ is not only a hilarious and eye-opening experience, but it’s also a heart-wrenching tale of stolen youth that tugs at your heartstrings.
Kudos to the talented cast and crew for their outstanding performance, and a special shoutout to my friend Jack, who was absolutely stellar on stage. The Pavilion Theatre was the perfect backdrop for this remarkable production, and I would LOVE to see future ‘Geeza Break Productions’ here!
‘When We Were Young’ is a must-see for anyone looking to relive the ’90s, and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a five-star show that captures the spirit of Glasgow’s past and leaves you with a profound appreciation for the enduring strength of its people. Don’t miss it!
JUST WOW! What a show.
I was hooked from start to finish. It was really hard hitting and portrayed the brutality of gangs and knife crime in Glasgow., so well written.
Each member of the cast drew us into their character. We laughed out loud and cried – it was an emotional roll coaster. Honestly cannot recommend this play enough., IT IS A MUST SEE!

I laughed, I cried. I have never been so invested in anything I’ve seen in the theatre as I was tonight.
I hope to see a retour coming again soon so I can see it all over again.
Saw ‘when we were young’ in the East Kilbride art house on 29th April. It was amazing. My partner, who normally isn’t into plays, said he loved it. The cast took us on a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the play. Very well written and acted out. Recommend this to everyone. ITS A MUST SEE!!

Saw this fantastic show at Rutherglen Town Hall in April 2023 and it was excellent. Very talented cast and the show makes you cry, laugh, anger etc and you are hooked from the start to finish. Would highly recommend this show for all to see.
Saw it once and would watch time and time again.
My mum and friend are excited to see it for the first time after hearing about it.
We seen this show in bathgate and to say it was brilliant is an understatement ,it’s a must see ,We had tears of laughter running down our cheeks 1 min and total blubbering mess with raw emotion the next ,The play is beautifully written and shows a true portrail of life in the schemes ,loved it from start to finish and will b booking here to go see it again ,a big 5 gold stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Saw this in April at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine, and I’m delighted it’s making a come back and definitely worthy of a big stage!
Thoroughly raw content but so tender at the same time. So meticulously thought out and presented by such genuine true to life characters. The writing is a true talent. Every scene (and for ages after) I felt like I was carrying each persons emotion with me; I was sighing, crying and laughing for them and with them. Liam, and the cast alike, have a magnificent way of imposing the thoughts and feelings of each character into the audience. The Geez a Break production team were astounding. Thank you for the experience.
I would highly recommend going to see this production, and be prepared to carry it with you home as it’s truly immersive !
